Titolo / Title: Gli ultimi (e avvelenati) giorni della breve e luminosa vita di Giovanni Pico della Mirandola: un “giallo” rinascimentale
Abstract: Giovanni Pico della Mirandola was (probably) poisoned by his secretary, Cristoforo da Casalmaggiore, as Marin Sanudo testifies in his Diarii. After Pico’s remains exhumation, some years ago, it was also supposed that the main responsible of the poisoning was Marsilio Ficino. The purpose of this paper is to trace the ‘romance’ sources of this strange supposition.
Keywords: Giovanni Pico della Mirandola; Cristoforo da Casalmaggiore; Marsilio Ficino; Renaissance; Platonic philosophy.
